I am Caroline. G. Silvestre and I am a Certified Hypnotherapist.
During a career break following a decade in an executive role, I discovered the transformative power of hypnotherapy.
I had been tired, worried, anxious, and sometimes even hostile. Although conventional therapy helped somewhat, it was hypnosis that truly helped move forward my fears, grudges, and the unhelpful habits that held me back and strained relationships.
Having experienced such positive changes, I decided to help guiding others towards positive changes too.
I am a graduate member of the British Psychological Society, the General Hypnotherapy Register, and of the National Hypnotherapy Society.
If you are looking for new and creative ways to deal with persistent problems, here is something worth a try.
Hypnotherapy is a type of talking therapy that uses hypnosis amongst other methods to facilitate focus and relaxation, which allow for clarity and understanding.
All hypnosis is self-hypnosis and no one can make someone do anything they don’t want to do.
Instead, a person will willingly follow suggestions that feel right for them – there is no mind control.
You are a good fit for hypnotherapy when:
I’m here to offer a safe and allowing space where you can confidently chart your path ahead. Together, we’ll create an environment conducive to your growth and discovery.
Those who approach it with curiosity, openness, and a willingness to try something new. It only works if you want it to work, and if it feels right – which is why delivery is important. My job is to provide a safe space and a treatment plan tailored to you.
Anxiety is a crippling sensation that awful things may happen. It can be generalised or specific to certain situations and results from a number of psychological processes.
In hypnotherapy, we help you look at the beliefs and thought-chains that cause and maintain anxiety.
Observing your own thoughts and beliefs is only possible when calm and relaxed, which is a state that allows for clarity.
Hypnosis can help with that, but it is only second to the therapist’s presence.
A good therapist will build rapport before moving forward with difficult questions. It will foster patience and understanding, allowing the client to feel comfortable in the process.
